This is the first blog post for Unity Compost, a website dedicated to helping you create and maintain a community-driven compost heap.  Imagine if all those people who want to compost but can't were able to contribute to a community compost heap?  That is what we invision, and hope to make become a reality.

Right now our goals are simple:

1. Get a blog up and running. Check!
2. Create software to allow community compost heap administrators to find contributors online.
3. Allow contributors to schedule pickups of their compost.
4. Allow volunteers to pick up contributions for delivery to the heap.

Well, step #1 is done. Now we need to get on to step #2.  Here is a preview.  This is pure brainstorming, so no guarantees on anything:
